AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 24
With half a day to go in the latest AT&T MLS Goal of the Week race, Columbus Crew maestro Federico Higuain is in a dominant position to pick up his first GOTW award of the 2013 campaign.
The Argentine's glorious lofted finish over New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles in the Crew's surprising 2-0 win over RBNY has garnered more than twice as many votes as its nearest competitor, Camilo's outstanding strike in the Vancouver Whitecaps' defeat of the San Jose Earthquakes.
Felipe, Kei Kamara and Landon Donovan follow in that order, and it's going to take a serious late reversal for anyone to catch Higuain.
Here’s how the voting stands at 11 am ET on Thursday, with 14 hours left to cast your vote.
- Federico Higuain (CLB) 39.49%
- Camilo Sanvezzo (VAN) 17.73%
- Felipe Martins (MTL) 16.92%
- Kei Kamara (SKC) 13.8%
- Landon Donovan (LA) 12.06%
The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and in text voting and will be announced on Friday.
Vote online or text goal code to 22442.
Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week — including an archive of all of this season's winners — click here.
