Carlos Vela doesn't need much help scoring these days, but he got it anyway, thanks to a play that San Jose goalkeeper Daniel Vega will quickly want to forget.
Less than 10 minutes into LAFC's visit to the Quakes, Vega came out of his area for what looked like it would be an easy clearance. Turns out it was anything but:

The early goal was the last thing San Jose needed as they sought to stop a losing skid to start the season. It proved the first of three for Vela and LAFC's subsequent 5-0 win handed the Quakes their fourth loss in a row to start the season.
