Not only have the Montreal Impact been red hot in August, they've been scoring some pretty nice goals, too.
The latest, a curling finish from Marco Di Vaio in the Impact's 3-0 win over D.C. United last Saturday was good enough to claim Week 25's AT&T Goal of the Week honor, Montreal's fourth consecutive award. Felipe Martins, Sanna Nyassi and Lamar Neagle picked up the award in the three previous weeks.
It was also a welcome relief for Di Vaio, who now has three goals in his last five games after starting his MLS career off with six scoreless appearances.
The Serie A veteran will have Patrice Bernier to thank, as the midfielder spotted Di Vaio peeling away from the D.C. backline and into space, allowing him to take Bernier's pass in stride and curl it around Bill Hamid into the top corner.
The AT&T Goal of the Week winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and via text message.
