It may have been a well-worked team goal, but Fabián Castillo is the player who will earn the accolades for it.
Castillo was voted Week 3's AT&T MLS Goal of the Week winner by a large margin. Castillo claimed more than 55 percent of the week's vote for his close-range strike in FC Dallas' 3-1 victory over Chivas USA. Castillo netted the 71st-minute opener in the after Mauro Díaz whipped in a free kick from 30 yards that midfielder Hendry Thomas nodded toward the center of the box, where Castillo pounced on the opportunity and rifled the ball into the back of the net with a one-time effort.
