Former LAFC forward and US youth international Josh Perez has found a new home, signing with CD Castellon in the Spanish third tier.
The 22-year-old signs with Castellon after spending parts of two seasons in the LAFC organization, making 15 first-team appearances and doing a pair of short stints on loan with Phoenix Rising in the USL Championship.
Perez is a product of the academy of the now-defunct Chivas USA, where he played his youth soccer from 2011-2013 before moving to Italian side Fiorentina, where he made one first-team appearance in 2016, but starred for the club's U-19 side, scoring 17 goals and racking up 14 assists across all competitions. He made 22 appearances on loan to Serie B outfit Livorno on loan in 2017-2018, dishing out three assists in 25 matches, before making the move back to LAFC in 2018.
Perez appeared in 13 games for Bob Bradley's men last season, starting four of them and getting his first MLS goal in a 4-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on August 21. He also recorded one assist.
