Cue up "Wonderwall."

Minnesota United did exactly that on Saturday for the first time in months, thanks to an epic 3-2 comeback win over St. Louis CITY SC at Allianz Field.

The Loons staged a stunning second-half rally to earn their first home win since April 18. They also halted St. Louis's historic unbeaten streak at 21 games across all competitions and 19 games in MLS action.

Back in the mix

After going up early via strikes from club-record signing Rafael Navarro and Sang Bin Jeong, St. Louis looked poised to make it 20 straight games unbeaten in league play, which would've set a new MLS record.

However, Minnesota turned it around in the second half on three straight unanswered goals from Aziel Jackson, Kelvin Yeboah and Marcus Caldeira - the latter completing the miracle comeback in the 86th minute.

Saturday's dramatic result gave the Loons 34 points, and something to fight for during the final stretch of the regular season. With four games remaining, they're currently four points shy of the Western Conference's ninth and final Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs spot.

Caldeira’s rise

Caldeira's game-clinching goal provided another star-making moment for the rising striker.

After earning his first Canada call-up debut during the September/October international window, the 22-year-old secured three vital points for the Loons with his seventh goal in 12 appearances this season.

Caldeira and Minnesota will look to continue their late postseason push at Houston Dynamo FC on Oct. 24 (8:30 pm ET | Apple TV).
