They're already calling it the leading candidate for AT&T Goal of the Year.
So it should come as little surprise that Fredy Montero's long-range blast against the LA Galaxy captured the latest AT&T Goal of the Week award by a landslide.
The Colombian's 30-yard drive that found the top left corner in a 2-0 win over the defending champs in midweek nearly brought the house down at CenturyLink Field and it brought an end to the 24-year-old's goal-scoring drought to start the season.
Montero, who followed up the strike with a brace in midweek at FC Dallas, is the first Seattle player to win the honor in 2012.
- Fredy Montero (SEA) 58%
- Dwayne De Rosario (DC) 21%
