TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Re-signed
Real Salt Lake have re-signed goalkeeper Andrew Putna, the club announced Friday.
Putna, 26, was the club's first choice 'keeper in 2020 with 15 starts. He kept four clean sheets. The goalkeeper originally joined RSL via their USL Championship affiliate Real Monarchs after being selected in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.
âFirst and foremost, I love Andrewâs work ethic,â head coach Freddy Juarez said in a club statement. âHe understands hard work and that says everything about what RSL is. He comes early, he leaves late. Now heâs a proven quality goalkeeper in the league who is going to continue to grow.â
The news comes a few days after officially announcing the signing of forward Rubio Rubin.
âIâm excited to be back with the organization for my fifth season,â Putna said. âI canât wait to help RSL on and off of the field for the coming year.â
