Kyle Beckerman might be well known for his defensive play, but this week it is his offensive abilities that have come to the forefront.
Beckerman captured Week 2's AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award by a landslide, earning nearly 50 percent of the vote. The US national team midfielder claimed the award for his early equalizer from distance in Real Salt Lake's dramatic 3-3 draw vs. the San Jose Earthquakes.
Beckerman scored the goal in the 11th minute of the match at Buck Shaw Stadium, firing a low shot from about 25 yards out that beat San Jose goalkeeper Jon Busch and pinged off the left post before going in.
