Red Bull New York have transferred midfielder Dennis Gjengaar to Norwegian top-flight side Vålerenga, the club announced Tuesday.
The 22-year-old former Norway youth international tallied 5g/1a in 52 matches across two-and-a-half seasons with RBNY.
Gjengaar was acquired ahead of the 2024 campaign from Norwegian side Odds BK.
The move frees up a U22 Initiative roster slot for the Red Bulls.
“We want to thank Dennis for his professionalism and commitment during his time with our club,” said head of sport Julian de Guzman.
“He has been a fantastic person on and off the pitch, and we wish him continued success in this next chapter of his career, both professionally and personally.”
