Atiba Hutchinson has once again been linked to a Canadian club.

TVA Sports’ Vincent Destouches and a Turkish report on Tuesday claimed that the Montreal Impact are interested in the longtime Besiktas and Canada national team central midfielder.

Hutchinson, who turns 35 in February, has continued to produce for Besiktas, appearing in 15 Turkish Super Lig contests and five UEFA Champions League matches for the club this season. They’ll take on Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 in February.

A native of Brampton, Ontario, Hutchinson was originally linked with the Vancouver Whitecaps ahead of the 2017 summer transfer window with 'Caps manager Carl Robinson revealing that the club had conversations about the player, who has spent nearly the entirety of his pro career in Europe.

Hutchinson started with Swedish club Osters in 2003, then jumped to Helsingborg in 2004. A switch to Danish titans Copenhagen followed in 2006, before he eventually transferred to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in 2010. He moved to Besiktas in 2013.

A member of the all-time Canadian men’s national team Best XI, Hutchinson has six goals in 78 career caps for Canada.

In addition the Hutchinson interest, Destouches also reported that the Impact have maintained contact with little-used 26-year-old Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier and that Designated Player Blerim Dzemaili, who was rumored to be interested in a loan to Europe ahead of the World Cup, will return to Montreal.
