Seattle Sounders FC have loaned forward Osaze De Rosario to Danish Superliga side Sønderjyske Fodbold, the club announced Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Guyana international's deal lasts through June 2027 and includes a purchase option

“When this came up, we sat down with Osaze and after a good conversation we all agreed that the impact of going to Sønderjyske and playing significant minutes was a great opportunity,” said Sounders general manager and chief soccer officer Craig Waibel.

“He’s earned meaningful experience with our first team over the past year and has shown he can contribute in important moments. This move provides Osaze the opportunity to compete consistently in a strong European league, and we believe that experience will be valuable as he continues to progress and upon his return to Sounders in the future.”

The son of MLS and Canadian legend Dwayne De Rosario, Osaze scored seven goals – including the Leagues Cup 2025-clinching strike against Inter Miami CF in last year's final – in 46 appearances for the Rave Green.

He's also played for the club's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Tacoma Defiance, FC Rukh Lviv in Ukraine and Canadian Premier League side York United.

Internationally, De Rosario has 10 goals in 11 caps for Guyana and featured in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying.

“Osaze has taken some really positive steps with our group, and we feel this loan comes at the right time for him,” said head coach Brian Schmetzer. “He’s grown a great deal over the last year, both as a player and as a professional, and this move gives him the opportunity to test himself in a new environment.

"We’re excited to see him take on that challenge and continue building on the progress he’s made here.”
