If the Seattle Sounders entered last weekend not knowing how good Erik Hurtado can be on the ball, they surely do now.
Hurtado scored a wonderful goal that saw him beat multiple defenders on the dribble before unleashing a well-placed shot in the Vancouver Whitecaps' 2-2 draw vs. the Sounders last Saturday. The impressive solo effort from the speedy youngster was so good that it won Week 12's AT&T Goal of the Week honors, claiming more than 42 percent of the vote.
That total was well ahead of runner-up Landon Donovan, who earned 24.48 percent of the vote for his record-setting goal in the LA Galaxy's 4-1 rout of the Philadelphia Union.
Final Votes (Week 12):
1. Erik Hurtado (VAN): 42.36%
2. Landon Donovan (LA): 24.48%
3. Gershon Koffie (VAN): 11.98%
