Columbus (2020): Keita made 11 regular-season appearances (10 starts at center-back). He made his first regular-season appearance of the year in a road contest at Seattle Sounders FC (March 7), playing all 90 minutes of the match. He made a substitute appearance against FC Cincinnati* (July 11) before earning a start against Atlanta United* (July 21). Keita made a total of three appearances (two starts) during the MLS is Back Tournament. He made his third start on the road at New York City FC (August 21). The defender returned to the lineup and started at home against Nashville SC (September 19). He then made consecutive starts on the road at FC Cincinnati (October 14) and at home against New York City FC (October 18) before making four consecutive starts from October 24 through the November 4 road match at Orlando City SC.

2019 (Columbus/Richmond Kickers): Aboubacar Keita made 10 appearances (eight starts as a centerback) in 2019 for Crew SC. He made his 2019 regular-season during a road match against Houston Dynamo (April 27) On March 6, he was sent on loan to the Richmond Kickers of the USL. Keita made three appearances (two starts) for the Kickers. Keita recorded his first MLS career start during a road contest against Real Salt Lake (July 3), playing all 90 minutes. He made four consecutive starts for the Black & Gold starting from a road contest against the Chicago Fire (July 17). to a road contest against the San Jose Earthquakes (August 3). Keita returned to the starting a home contest against the Chicago Fire (August 31) and started in consecutives matches against Atlanta United (September 14) and Vancouver Whitecaps (September 21). He made a substitute appearance in a home match against the Philadelphia Union (September 29). Keita did not make an appearance during the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Keita made five appearances (all starts) for the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team during the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, helping the U.S. reach the quarter finals.
