The Houston Dynamo’s Héctor Herrera era is over.
The captain of the Mexican National Team, Herrera joins the Dynamo after one of the most successful European soccer spells for a player from his national. A key contributorin Atlético de Madrid's La Liga title, Herrera was a regular feature in the UEFA Champions League in his time in the Spanish capitol. The experienced midfielder additionally won three domestic trophies with Portuguese giants FC Porto. Internationally Herrera has represented El Tri at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 FIFA World Cup, as well as winning the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
