Career Summary

Logan Ndenbe joined Sporting in a transfer from French team EA Guingamp in January 2022. Ndenbe spent his first five professional seasons in Europe with Belgian top-flight side KV Oostende and Guingamp in France.

Ndenbe made 50 appearances for the club in all competitions across his first two seasons, tallying two goals and two assists with both goals coming in the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs series against St. Louis. Ndenbe suffered a torn ACL in the second match against St. Louis on Nov. 5, 2023 causing him to miss the remainder of the season.

Ndenbe developed in the Royal Excel Mouscron academy before joining KV Oostende as a 17-year-old in 2017. Ndenbe left Belgium in July 2020, signing for Guingamp to mark the start of a successful stint in the French Ligue 2.

On the youth international stage, Ndenbe rose through the Belgian U-17 and U-18 teams before earning his Belgium U-21 debut in June 2021 for his first of six matches in 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying. He started in four games during qualifying, helping the team go 3-0-1.

PROFESSIONAL

2023: Made 25 appearances across all competitions, scoring the first two goals of his professional career and adding one assist. MLS Regular Season: Started 18 of 21 appearances at left back, tallying one assist. Returned from a preseason injury to make his season debut in the 2-1 loss at New England on April 22. Tallied the first MLS assist of his career in the 3-2 road victory over Real Salt Lake on Oct. 7. MLS Cup Playoffs: Started the club's first three postseason matches and was the hero of the Round One victory over rivals St. Louis, scoring the first two goals of his professional career in with the opener in Game 1 and Game 2. Suffered a torn ACL midway through Game 2 vs. St. Louis but finished the match before requiring surgery. Open Cup: Did not feature. Leagues Cup: Made one appearance, playing 15 minutes at the conclusion of the 3-3 draw with FC Cincinnati in the Group Stage.

2022: Signed with Sporting as a free agent on Jan. 14, 2022. MLS Regular Season: Started 19 of 22 appearances in his first season, contributing to three clean sheets (1752 minutes played). Debuted for the club and made his first MLS start in the season opener on Feb. 27 at Atlanta United. Played a full 90 minutes in a scoreless match against Columbus Crew to earn his first clean sheet. Made an incredible goal line clearance against eventual 2022 Supporters' Shield Winners LAFC on July 23. Open Cup: Started one of three appearances and assisted on one goal (84 minutes played.) Set up Felipe Hernandez's second score, and Sporting's sixth goal of a 6-0 win over Union Omaha in the Open Cup Quarterfinals on June 22.

EA Guingamp (2020-2021):

Joined French Ligue 2 side Guingamp before the 2020-21 campaign. Made 16 appearances for the club before enjoying a breakout season a year later. Started and played every minute of the beginning of the 2021 season, tallying one assist before joining up with Sporting before the 2022 MLS regular season.

KV Oostende (2017-2019):

Joined KV Oostende and made three appearances in all competitions in his first professional season, competing in Belgium's top-flight First Division A. Made nine appearances in all competitions and added one assist in his second season before making three more in his final season with the club in 2019.

INTERNATIONAL

On the youth international stage, Ndenbe played eight matches for the Belgium U-17s in 2017, including starts in three qualifiers for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in March of that year. He then jumped to the Belgian U-18 squad, where he made four friendly appearances from November 2017 to March 2018.

Ndenbe earned his Belgium U-21 debut last June for his first of five matches in 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying. He has earned seven caps for the Belgian U-21s.
