Goalkeepers

Defenders
Minnesota United saw two of their top attackers succumb to injuries in their season opener, putting Orlando City defenders firmly on the fantasy radar in Week 2 (7:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE in US | MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada). Columbus Crew SC defenders will also be a popular add this week, after they came away from Toronto with a surprise clean sheet in their season opener.

Miguel Almiron managed six shots despite an embarrassing loss in the season opener and he tops the midfielder rankings for Week 2 as Atlanta United look to rebound in their home opener on Sunday against D.C. United (3 pm ET; ESPN, ESPN Deportes, WatchESPN in US | MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada). Real Salt Lake and Orlando City each have several fantasy relevant players this round with arguably the best matchups on the board in LAFC and Minnesota United.

Forwards
The top five forwards in Week 2 all have favorable matchups in their home openers and all are in a good spot to open their 2018 accounts. One value player I’m keying in on is Stefano Pinho, who scored on his debut, and if he makes his way into the Orlando starting lineup he frees up a sizable chunk of salary at $6.3 million.
