POLL: Whose own-goal was worse? Chivas USA's Mario de Luna or Germany's Marc-André ter Stegen? | THE SIDELINE

Germany's Marc-André ter Stegen chases for ball

Which own goal was worse?

After Chivas USA's Mario de Luna's thumping header into his own net on Saturday night against Seattle (see below), you could have been reasonably sure that would be the most groan-inducing own goal of the weekend.

Then German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen put his name in the hat to gift the US national team a 2-0 lead Sunday, making de Luna's howler look tame by comparison. Child's play, even.

Maybe you disagree, though. After all, de Luna could have been in the running for AT&T MLS Goal of the Week honors. The header was that good (bad?), if only in the wrong net.
