Guilherme Biro

Guilherme Biro joined Austin FC via transfer from Mirassol Futebol Clube on January 9, 2024. During his first two-and-a-half seasons in MLS, Biro made 77 MLS appearances for the Verde & Black, tallying seven goals and three assists.

A native of Curitiba, Brazil, Biro spent the 2023 season with Mirassol. Playing primarily as a left back, Biro recorded 45 clearances, 42 interceptions, and 21 tackles won in 29 league appearances, helping Mirassol concede the second-fewest goals in Série B. He contributed two goals, three assists, and 25 chances created at the attacking end of the field.

Biro also made 12 appearances for Mirassol in the Campeonato Paulista Série A1, the top professional state football league in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, and two in the Troféu Independência.

Biro previously played for Coritiba Foot Ball Club from 2020 to 2022, where he made 72 appearances across all competitions, including 23 in Série A, the Brazilian national topflight. In 2021 Biro played in 33 of Coritiba’s 38 Série B matches, recording a goal and an assist as the team finished third and earned promotion.
